Born in Xiamen, China, Yuqi Jiang studies abroad in the United States during college to learn about different cultures and aesthetics.

 

She is currently studying Textile and Fashion Design at the University of Wisconsin Madison and working as a studio assistant for the Textile and Fashion Design Department.

 

Ever since she was a little girl, she has had a strong passion for fashion design and started drawing fashion illustrations. The education in University allows her to gain professional knowledge of pattern making, sewing, dyeing and felting.

In addition to Textile and Fashion Design, Yuqi is pursuing an entrepreneurship certificate for preparing her brand in the future.

 

Instead of thinking to be a brilliant and genius designer, she hopes her design can allow people who share the same aesthetics and ideas to express their personalities and styles by wearing her design.

 

She believes clothes play an important role in helping people communicate with each other.
